it is awful watching you fall
to see you crumble
from within

in your formative years, you were vigorous
resistant to the weight of the world
you pushed back

now you sit frail, back in your room waiting
confined to parish within your cell
i would never be back. You said
3-years of solitude and now
you are back

close the door, shut the blinds, and hid away
overwhelming thoughts will soon arise
sleepless nights and nightmares
day walking within the walls
say goodbye, you coward
you fell in love
